Boron nitride (BN) powder is a high-performance synthetic ceramic material valued for its unique combination of thermal conductivity, electrical insulation, and lubricating properties. Often called "white graphite" because of its layered hexagonal structure, it is widely used in high-temperature industrial processes, electronics, and cosmetics.
Common Applications:
- Lubrication and Release Agents: Used as a dry lubricant or mold release agent in metal casting (especially aluminum), glass forming, and high-temperature forging to prevent materials from sticking to molds.
